- Mal Sacks, PhD., P.Eng., President

Tacet's principal, Dr. Mal P. Sacks has been actively involved as a
consultant in acoustics and vibration and as a designer of noise and
vibration control hardware since 1972.
His masters and doctoral studies were in the
field of high intensity duct acoustics and gas dynamics of two-stroke cycle
engines. This research was conducted under contract to A.C.S. Ltd., a
Toronto manufacturer of snowmobile and motorcycle exhaust systems.
With over 35 years of experience and numerous successfully completed
projects in the areas of industrial sound and structural vibration, Mal is
considered to be an expert in these areas. Since 1979, Mal has been in private
practice using Tacet to conduct that business.

Ramin
joined Tacet in fall of 1998 while working on his Masters thesis at
University of Toronto. With an undergraduate degree in Aerospace
engineering and his graduate research involving extracting acoustic signals
from turbulent flows using multi-channel signal processing techniques, Ramin
has brought valuable expertise to Tacet which has enabled Tacet to
successfully perform advanced in-situ multi-channel sound/vibration
measurements specific to each project for accurate data collection and post
processing.
